Configuring Secure Wireless for IBM Laptops

How do I connect to EduRoam using IBM Access Connections?

1. Start ThinkVantage Access Connections

2. SELECT EduRoam from the Location drop-down list.
    CLICK the Location Profile Tab
    CLICK Edit

3. CLICK the Wireless Settings Tab
    TYPE eduroam in the SSID Field
    SELECT Infrastructure from the Connection type drop-down menu
    SELECT Auto from the Wireless mode drop-down menu
    SELECT IEEE 802.1x Authentication from the Wireless security type drop-down menu
    CLICK the Properties button

4. SELECT WPA-2 from the Acces point authentication drop-down menu
    SELECT AES from the Data encryption drop-down menu
    SELECT PEAP from the EAP type drop-down menu
    SELECT MS-CHAP-V2 from the Authentication protocol drop-down menu
    REMOVE Checkmark from the Validate server certificate check-box
    CLICK OK

5. Make sure EduRoam is selected and CLICK Connect. (see instructions below if EduRoam is not listed).

6. Enter your 9-digit OC ID followed by @okanagan.bc.ca in the User name box and your
associated password in the Password box. Leave Domain name empty and click OK.
