MEET THE HUMAN RESOURCES TEAM
Randy Maradyn - Director, Human Resources (local 4290)
The Director has overall responsibility for the Human Resources function at the College, which includes the development and management of a comprehensive human resources program: strategic planning, organizational development, labour relations, recruitment and retention, benefit & pension administration, employee development, performance management, and wellness in accordance with the mission, values, goals, and policies of Okanagan College. The Director also represents Okanagan College's interests with PSEA and other external agencies.

Diane Adair – Confidential Secretary (local 4717)
Diane provides confidential secretarial and administrative support to the Director, Human Resources and the HR Division generally. In addition, Diane supports the Human Resources team in the coordination and delivery of a variety of organizational and employee training and development projects.

Margo Kendal – Manager, Personnel Services & Systems (local 4228)
Margo administers compensation, benefit and pension systems, liaises with the BC Pension Corporation and benefit providers, and provides advice and guidance to management and staff in the areas of compensation and salary administration, absence management, benefits, pension and retirement. In addition, Margo is responsible for reviewing recommendations and implementations of new benefit programs as well as analysis and enhancement of existing programs. Another component of Margo's portfolio includes responsibility for HRIS and other supporting systems including implementing Banner HR system enhancements as well as reviewing and evaluating related systems, reporting and processes. Chris Rawson - Manager, Employee and Labour Relations (local 4419)
Chris provides expertise and advice in Employee and Labour Relations for all employee groups and ensures employee and labour relations services are provided to these employee groups including complaint and grievance handling, representation at third party hearings, policy development and collective bargaining.

Denise Fallis, Labour Relations Specialist (local 4208)
Denise continues to be responsible for Labour Relations advice and support in her role as Labour Relations Specialist.

Lynda Dreaper- HR Advisor (local 4390)
Lynda, previously assigned only to HR Information Systems, has new responsibilities added to her Human Resource Advisor portfolio. She has now also been assigned to provide assistance to managers and employees in the Senior Managers, Administrators and Excluded Staff groups and has responsibility for coordinating and advising on the following:
- Recruitment/Selection
- Job descriptions
- Health and welfare benefit plans
- Leave requests and leave benefit calculations
- Credentials
- Staffing
- Performance Management
- Performance Evaluations

Vanessa has recently joined us as a Human Resource Advisor. A 2007 graduate of the Okanagan College degree program in Business Administration, Vanessa comes to us from Kelowna Flightcraft. She has been assigned to provide assistance to managers and faculty in the OCFA and Vocational groups and has responsibility for coordinating and advising on the following:

Joan Kleinsteuber - HR Advisor (local 4807)
Joan continues to provide assistance as a Human Resource Advisor to managers and employees in the Regular Support Staff group. She has also been assigned to provide system support for POST and has responsibility for reclassification requests related to Support Staff positions and has responsibility for coordinating and advising on the following:
