Jim Hamilton, President
Jim Hamilton has an association with the insitution that dates back 25 years to the original Okanagan College. He began his career with the insitution in 1980 teaching English in what then served as the Vernon Campus - the old Canadian Forces army barracks.
Over the years he has also served as an Okanagan University College Board of Governors member, a faculty member, and as the Regional Principal of the North Okanagan Region. Jim has also worked for School District 22 as an administrator and served a term as a school trustee.
He hold a Master's Degree in English Literature from Queen's University and was a Graduate Research Fellow on that university's Disraeli Project (1975-80), helping to publish the first two volumes of the correspondence of noted 19th century British novelist and Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli.
Jim has an extensive background as a consultant in media and public relations, strategic planning and market research and has worked with many community organization in the North Okanagan.
In 2004, Jim was appointed President of Okanagan College and his term was recently extended to 2010.

Andrew Hay, Vice-President, Education
Dr. Hay holds a doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta and is a professional engineer registered in B.C. and Alberta. He has taught at the University of Alberta, the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and Okanagan University College. He has been involved in a number of technology-related associations including having served as the president and an executive board member of the Okanagan Science and Technology Council (OSTEC), a member of the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of B.C. (ASTTBC) Accreditation Board, the Airport Training Council, the National Committee of the Deans of Technology, and various international committees of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He is currently serving on the Technology Education Career Council for B.C.. He continues to be actively engaged with students, through mentoring and assisting with instruction at Okanagan College in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
