LNG Canada Trades Training Fund

LNG Canada Trades Training Fund

Thanks to a new contribution of $500,000, the LNG Canada Trades Training Fund (TTF) has re-opened effective February 1.

With this second round of funding, LNG Canada’s investment in the TTF has reached $1,500,000.

To make sure that this new funding reaches even more participants and employers this year, some new criteria have been introduced, including focus on in-demand trades and a requirement that the employer must apply directly rather than through a third party representative. Please visit the website for details.

Effective February 1, 2017, to broaden the reach of the second round of funding to employers and Apprentices who have not yet participated, the following eligibility criteria have been introduced:

  • Employers must apply to the fund on behalf of their employee, without the help of a third party facilitator

  • Applications must be received one month prior to the month the training starts. (e.g. for courses that begin in April, applications must be submitted by February 28)

  • Eligible trades are now limited to the top in-demand Construction Trades
