How do Adult Academic and Career Preparation classes work?

• Day and evening classes:

Most upgrading courses are classroom-based. These classes are instructor-led and may include lecture, lab, discussion, cooperative learning, and individualized instruction.

• Start Dates:
Kelowna: Sep., Jan., May., and Jul.
Vernon: Sep., Jan., and May
Penticton and Salmon Arm:  Sep. and Jan.

• Self-Paced: 
Instruction is generally one-to-one, but often includes some small group activities.

• Start Dates:
Kelowna: Sep., Jan., May, and Jun.
Vernon, Penticton and Salmon Arm: Sep., Jan., and May
Revelstoke: Sep. and Jan.
Some self-paced classes allow you to register at any time.

• Flex Classes:
These are multilevel, multicourse, self-paced classes that provide students with access to a wide range of courses and an opportunity to choose when to attend. Flex-classes are offered at Penticton, Revelstoke and Vernon.
Start dates are flexible. Inquire at the campus you wish to attend.

• Volunteer Tutor Literacy Program:
This is a one-to-one program for adults wishing to improve their basic reading, writing or math skills.
