Quick Facts:

Okanagan College's School of Business offers a variety of learning opportunities. Our School of Business strives for student success by providing opportunities to apply your knowledge in working environments and help prepare you for the future.

Students considering a career in business often complete courses and credentials that lead to professional designations. Other job opportunities with a business degree or diploma include careers in financial services, such as banking and financial planning. Marketing graduates often find jobs working in advertising firms or for a public relations team in a large corporation.

Many students complete general management programs and upon graduation, enter entry-level jobs hoping to move up the management chain. Hospitality business training gives students the knowledge and ability they need to work in the hotel and restaurant industry, including large and small resorts.

Certificates in business and office administration provide general skills that enable graduates to meet the needs of a number of employers. Accounting, payroll, general office administration and up-to-date computer skills are valued by all businesses.

Specialized legal administrative assistant training provides graduates with the skills required to work with professionals in the fields of Litigation and Corporate/Conveyancing. Corporate/Conveyancing graduates typically work for lawyers and other professionals who deal with property transfers and business registrations.

Litigation graduates usually work in law firms and government offices assisting lawyers processing legal cases.

The Commercial Aviation diploma program is for students interested in pursuing a career in aviation. The program provides academic experience with aviation training required by Transport Canada.
