Aboriginal Services: The Aboriginal Access & Services department supports Aboriginal learners interested in studying at Okanagan College. Drop in and check out their easy-to-access resources. All are welcome. Aboriginal Access & Services offers a friendly environment to help Aboriginal students reach their full educational and personal potential.
Counselling Services: Counselling Services provides caring, competent counselling to all students on a wide variety of personal, academic and social issues. Personal, emotional and academic problems are a normal part of student life. One of the most helpful ways to deal with problematic situations and feelings is to talk them through with an experienced and caring counsellor.
Accessibility Services: Okanagan College offers accommodation services for students with medically documented disabilities. They work together with students to support their success by helping to reduce barriers.
Learning Centres and Student Success Centres: There are Learning Centres and Student Success Centres in Revelstoke, Salmon Arm, Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton. The Centres offer welcoming environments where Okanagan College students can find free assistance beyond their regular class time. Centre services include: one-to-one and small group learning assistance in reading, writing, mathematics, science, critical thinking, computer skills, and learning strategies. All services are free of charge and available to all Okanagan College students.
Tuition Fees, Deposits, and Refunds
The Continuing Studies Department and Okanagan College reserve the right to cancel or postpone a course due to low enrolment, unavailability of instructors, facilities, or other unforeseen circumstances. If it is necessary to cancel a course, Okanagan College will provide students with at least 48 hours' notice whenever possible.
All refunds are issued by cheque to the registered student unless there is a Sponsorship Agreement in place. Refunds do not include the cost of books or other supplies. Refunds may take up to six weeks to process.
If the student has not received the materials when they are approved for the refund, then the cost of the materials should be refunded.
Refund policy exceptions are made on compassionate grounds or special circumstances. In such cases a written request for refund, accompanied by appropriate documentation (i.e. medical, court subpoena) must be submitted to the Associate Director for approval. Letters of tuition credit may be considered in some circumstances.
Refund Appeals: Students must submit a completed Refund Appeal Form to the CSCD Director. A decision will be rendered in writing within 30 days, and all decisions are final.
Non-Certificate Course Withdrawal
Refund requests must be made at least two business days (48 hours) prior to the course start date. No refunds are issued for requests received with less than two business days' (48 hours) notice. Students may withdraw by phone, fax, email, mail or in person.
Special refund policies apply to courses where indicated. Check the policy when registering.
Non-Certificate courses with tuition fees of $500 or more will have a five business day refund policy unless an exception is made by the Director.
Certificate Course Withdrawal (effective September 1, 2017)

For all certificate programs: To be eligible for a 100% refund of tuition paid (less the $200 non-refundable deposit) the Request to Withdraw must be received no later than 10 working days prior to start date of program.
Refunds are not provided after above notification periods.
Exceptions are made on compassionate grounds. In such cases a written request for refund, accompanied by appropriate documentation (i.e. medical), must be submitted prior to the end of the course or workshop.
