Our Commitment to You

Camp OC is committed to offering your child a fun and educational experience. We will make every effort to ensure that your child's camp experience is positive by providing quality content, instructors and facilities.

What to Bring to Camp

Please have your child bring a lunch and snacks to camp. Due to allergies, please do not include peanut butter, other nut butters or nut snacks. Be sure to make note of allergies or a special diet in the Medical Information section of this form. Campers should dress in weather appropriate play clothes and should bring a hat, running shoes, sun block and a water bottle. If your child's camp requires additional items, they will be listed on their registration form.

Behaviour and No Bullying Policy

Okanagan College expects all campers to behave in a respectful way towards other campers, camp staff, equipment, and camp facilities. Parents will be notified if their child's behaviour is inappropriate. If the inappropriate behaviour continues, Okanagan College reserves the right to remove the child from camp, without a refund. Please read the College's Student Conduct policy for more details. See the following link: http://webapps-5.okanagan.bc.ca/ok/Calendar/StudentConduct.

Medical Attention

I authorize Okanagan College to provide, or cause to be provided, such medical services that Okanagan College or medical personnel consider appropriate.  The standard response in the event of a medical emergency is to call 911 and then call the parent or guardian.

I understand that during the time my child is participating in Camp OC, photographs may be taken by Okanagan College and used for Camp OC promotional materials in the future. This may include online and print brochures as well as the Okanagan College online newsletter. I understand that I must inform, in writing, the Campus specific Camp Coordinator directly if I do not consent to my child appearing in any promotional photographs.

Refund Policy

Parents may withdraw their child from a camp by advising Camp OC by phone, email or in person. Full refunds will be given if the request to withdraw is made at least five business days before the camp start date. Requests made less than five business days before the camp start date but prior to the camp start date will be refunded 50% of the registration fee. No refunds are given after the camp start date. Refunds can take between two and four weeks to process and will be mailed in the form of a cheque.  No refund is given for any days missed in a camp.

If your child will be absent, please notify camp staff by calling or emailing your campus. It is the parent's responsibility to make sure that their child gets signed in at the beginning of camp. You will not be notified if your child is absent from the program.
