School Counsellors and Teachers
Welcome to Okanagan College.
Applications for the 10/11 academic year will be accepted as of November 2, 2009. Students enrolling in high demand programs such as Practical Nursing, Business Administration degree and diploma, Civil Engineering Technology, and Electrician Pre-Apprenticeship should apply as early as possible to ensure a seat in the program.
New for this year is a Environmental Studies diploma which can be started at all campuses and completed at the Kelowna campus.
Provincial Exams: Okanagan College will not require students to complete provincial exams for entry into our programs.
The online calendar at www.okanagan.bc.ca/calendar is now the official calendar of Okanagan College. Using the online Calendar will allow you and students to find the most up-to-date information, as changes are occasionally made to the Calendar during the year, as directed by Education Council approvals.
Schools in the districts: #19 Revelstoke, #22 Vernon, #23 Central Okanagan, #53 Okanagan-Similkameen, #58 Nicola Similkameen, #67 Okanagan Skaha, and #83 North Okanagan Shuswap will be visited by a student recruitmenter in the fall and hopefully, once again in the spring. If your school is not part of the districts above and you would like us to visit your school please let the recruiter in the closes region to you know and we will try and accommodate your request.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact one of our recruiters or myself.
Diana Thomson, Manager of Student Recruitment and Regional Student Transition Coordinator, Okanagan College
