Residential Construction

For complete program information see the online Okanagan College Calendar.

Career Opportunities
As with most trades, there is a shortage of qualified entry-level/apprentice carpenters to meet the current and projected need due to an aging workforce. The program meets the need of the residential construction industry by providing students with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to seek employment as an apprentice carpenter.

Students must provide their own safety boots and basic hand tools and tool belt. Inquiries about financial assistance should be directed to the Financial Awards Office at 1-800-767-5492. Student loan applications may be picked up at any OC Campus or you can apply on-line @ www.bcsap.bc.ca.

2011 Locations:      Kelowna, Salmon Arm, Vernon and Penticton

NOTE:  Pending sufficient registerations the  Revelstoke program may be offered in 2012.
