Academic Advisors

Academic Advisors are available to help students to plan their academic program, choose courses to meet educational goals, register for ESL and academic courses and learn about course requirements for transferring to other universities.

The Learning Centre

The Learning Centre helps students to achieve academic success.  Assistance is provided for ESL, General Business, Accounting, English, etc.  The Centre’s goal is to assist students to become effective, independent learners.

The CALL Centre

The Computer-Assisted Language Learning Centre is available for students enrolled in ESL or language courses.  The Centre has programs designed to improve English speaking and listening skills and to provide students with a place to complete assignments for ESL courses.

Cultural Liaisons

Cultural Liaison staff help students by bridging the language gap. They assist students during orientation at the beginning of the semester and provide ongoing help and consultation throughout their time at Okanagan College.  The Cultural Liaisons are native speakers of Mandarin, Japanese, Korean and Spanish.

Conversation Partners Program

The Conversation Partners Program is a volunteer program whereby Canadian and international students meet weekly to chat, share activities, and learn from each other.
