Welcome to the Central Okanagan
Location
The city of Kelowna is located in the centre of the Okanagan Valley, approximately 400 km east of Vancouver and 600 km west of Calgary. Kelowna is easily accessible to visitors, only a four-hour drive from Vancouver or a quick 60-minute flight from Vancouver or Calgary.
Culture
Kelowna is the largest city in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley and features all of the cultural and recreational amenities of a major centre. An excellent place to study English, the growing city of Kelowna offers a thriving Cultural District, shopping, theatres, music, restaurants, nightlife, spectator sports, outdoor festivals, beaches, parks and more.
Recreation
Kelowna is a sought after year-round vacation destination. Recreational opportunities include some of Canada’s best golf, snowboarding and skiing. In winter, Kelowna is a skier’s paradise, with powder snow conditions on nearby ski hills, including Big White and Silver Star. In summer, students can enjoy swimming, boating, camping, canoeing, sailing and numerous marathon and triathlon events.
