Admission Requirements
English entrance requirements - Diploma or BBA, BCIS to UT programs - one of the following:
- English 12 or equivalent with 70% or higher; 60% for entry to Arts & Science
- A TOEFL score of 550 paper-based or 213 computer-based
- A minimum score of 5 on the Language Proficiency Test
- A band score of 6.5 on the academic version of IELTS
- A score exceeding OCELA Level 6 (administered after arrival)
- A minimum grade of 70% in OC ESL Essentials 060, Reading 062 and ESL Writing 061
- A minimum grade of 60% in an English literature or composition course at a recognized university or college in Canada
Academic Requirements:
All degree and diploma programs require that students have B.C. Grade 12 or equivalent or be at least 21 years of age and out of full-time high school study for three years.
Transferring to other universities
Students have the option of completing some degree programs at OC, or transferring courses to another university to complete their degrees. (Please note that each university has its own admission requirements.) Students who wish to study full-time in university transfer or college programs must meet the OC English entrance requirement, as well as any specific program pre-requisites. Degree programs in Canada normally take four years to complete; diploma and associate degree two years, and a certificate program is one year or less.
