 "I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the bursary you are giving to me.  You don't know how much this means to me.  I am a single mother with 4 kids and it has always been my dream to go to nursing school.  I have been a long term care aide for 12 years, in Revelstoke, BC and I was finally able to take the LPN course.  I would like to go on and take my BSN.  Maybe in a year I will be able to do that.  Going to school and being away from my kids has been a hard journey, but well worth it.  It is because of generous people like yourselves, that people like me are able to do this.  This means so very much to me, and I would like to thank you both very much.  This will be a huge help to me and it couldn't have come at a better time.  You are very generous people. God bless you both and once again thank you very, very much."

I believe that awarding students based on hard work, as well as socio-economic conditions, benefits not only the student but the entire community as well. Your support means that it is far easier for me to attend Okanagan College to obtain my degree in Business Administration, as well as opening the door for many other opportunities.
