Employee Recruitment Website Development

The recruitment website work is being headed up by a project management team at DAY Communications (DAY).

The target is to increase the number of enthusiastic and qualified individuals who apply to work at a select group of B.C.'s colleges, and the new website to be developed will accurately reflect the compelling reasons to consider a career at these institutions—that’s where you come in.

We need your input as an employee of Okanagan College on what makes our workplace special and interesting as well as your insight on what kinds of people are an excellent fit for our unique culture. To this end, DAY is conducting an online survey which you are invited to participate in (see link at the bottom of this email). DAY will also be supplementing the survey with telephone interviews with key individuals at the participating colleges to gain a more in-depth snapshot of what it’s like to work at each organization.

Here is how the project is unfolding:
•    July and August, 2013: DAY conducted a review of various strategic and marketing materials provided by the colleges
•    September 2013: DAY conducts an online survey and telephone interviews with key individuals
•    October 2013: DAY presents the proposed written platform and visual identity for the collaborative website to the working group
•    November 2013: In collaboration with the working group, DAY creates the website
•    December 2013: New website is launched

The results of the survey/telephone interviews will be confidential and will only be used by DAY to inform this project. DAY will not share any responses that will identify individuals. All data will be aggregated and presented in terms of overall trends and themes only.

The seven participating colleges include: College of New Caledonia, College of the Rockies, North Island College, Northwest Community College, Northern Lights College, Okanagan College and Selkirk College.

We’re eager to hear your thoughts via the anonymous online survey, which should take you less than 10 minutes to complete. Please access the online survey here.
