How can I add credit to my Pay Per Print account?

You may purchase credit online via PayPal or you may purchase a cash voucher from Campus Stores or the Library if after hours - cash only. Click here for detailed information.

What does it cost to print and copy?

8.5 x 11 (letter) - $.10 b&w or $ 0.40 colour
8.5 x 14 (legal) - $.10 b&w or $ 0.40 colour 

11 x 17                 $.20 b&w or $ 0.80 colour


(each double-sided print job will receive a discount of $.01 per page.)

Are there any additional or hidden fees in Pay Per Print?

No, there are no additional service fees to use PayPal or to purchase vouchers for Pay Per Print. All costs are included in the purchased print amount.

When can I purchase credit on my account?

Vouchers will be available for sale as of May 1, 2013 at the Kelowna Campus Store and at each Okanagan College LIbrary. These vouchers can be loaded onto your Pay Per Print account beginning May 6. PayPal purchases will also be available beginning May 6.

How quickly can I print after purchasing credit?

On or after May 6, you can log in to Pay Per Print and add credit to your account. You will be able to print immediately after adjusting your credit. If you already have a PayPal account and are using a credit card, you will be able to print as soon as you add credit to your account. If you are setting up a PayPal account and linking it to your bank account information, you will have to wait for approximately three days for the account verification.

Will my voucher expire?

Yes, each voucher has an expiration date printed on it. Please pay attention to this date and ensure you convert your voucher into credit before the date printed on your card. Expired cards will not be honoured.

Can I transfer my unused credit to another student?

Yes, you can. To transfer credits, log in to your Pay Per Print account and select "Transfer" from the left menu. Enter the amount of credit you would like to transfer and enter the recipient's student ID number. You can use the comment box to provide information for your own records.

Is it just students who are being asked to pay to print?

No, employees and guests of Okanagan College are also charged to print. Every printer and copier on campus is using the new print management software. Follow this link to read more about Okanagan College's sustainability goals. 

Who do I contact if I have a problem with a printer or copier?

If you are experiencing technical difficulties with printing equipment you may be required to print at another location.

Who do I contact if I want to request a refund because a printer failed and I was charged for the job?

You should follow these steps to request a refund.

  • Log in to your Pay Per Print account and select the “Recent Print Jobs” menu option.
  • Find the job that had a problem and in the far right column of that specific job record, select the link: “Request Refund.”
  • The Refund Request will display with details on the job in question. In the Refund Amount box select Full amount or Partial amount, depending on how much of the print job failed. If selecting a partial amount enter the partial amount you are requesting as a refund.
  • Complete the Reason for Request field and then press the Send button.
  • An administrator will review your request and respond to you. All approved refunds will be credited within two business days.  
Please note unused account balances will not be refunded.

Will my Pay Per Print account remain active even after I leave Okanagan College?

No, your account will expire after 12 months of inactivity. At that point, any unused credits will be dropped. Please review the Terms and Conditions for more information.

How do guest users who do not have an ID number print at Okanagan College?

Guests of Okanagan College can print at any Library with sign-in assistance from a Library staff person. Guests will be signed in to the Okanagan College network and then will click on “My Account” in the pop-up Pay Per Print window.

The next step is to create a guest account, which they can add credit to either using PayPal or by entering a voucher number (vouchers are available at any Campus Store or at the Library after hours.)

Follow these steps to add credit to a guest account. Once established, the guest account can be accessed in the future for further printing. Okanagan College’s Terms and Conditions also apply to guest users.

Students and guest users of Okanagan College printers and copiers are responsible for purchasing print/copy credits; this can be done two ways:

1) You may purchase credit online via PayPal (you can set up an account, use your existing account, or access PayPal as a visitor and pay by credit card), or

2) You may purchase a voucher any Okanagan College Campus Store or, if after hours, you may purchase a voucher from the Library.  

1.    Online Payment via PayPal

There are a few ways to purchase credit online using PayPal:

a) Create a PayPal Account

  • Click on the “Sign Up” button
  • Click on “Get Started” under the Personal section
  • Enter your Information then click on “Agree and Create Account”
  • You will then be able to choose to either set up your bank account or credit card by clicking on the appropriate link. Please note that PayPal accounts linked to bank accounts, rather than credit cards,may take up to three days to activate.     For bank accounts please note, once all information is entered it will take 2 to 3 business days to complete the activation process with PayPal. The account may be used immediately if activated by credit card.

    If you wish to set up your bank account you will need the following information:

    Bank transit number (5 digits)
    Institution number (3 digits)
    Account number (1 to 12 digits)

    If you have a chequing account these numbers will be found on the bottom of your cheque. If you don’t have a chequing account please visit your financial institution's website for more information.

    b)    Use your existing PayPal account to transfer credit to your OC Pay Per Print account

    If you are at an Okanagan College computer, log in and when the Pay Per Print window pops up, click on My Account – log in with your network ID number and password. If you are on a personal computer, visit: www.okanagan.bc.ca/payperprint and click on My Account and then enter your ID number and password.
    On the left tool bar, click “Add Credit (PayPal).” Then choose how much you would like to add to your account – either five or ten dollars.Click on the “Add Value” button and you will be redirected to PayPal to complete the transaction.

    c)    If you do not have a PayPal account but wish to pay online, you can use PayPal as a visitor and pay by credit card without creating a PayPal account

    If you are at an Okanagan College computer, log in and when the Pay Per Print window pops up, click on My Account – log in with your ID number and password. If you are on a personal computer, visit: www.okanagan.bc.ca/payperprint and click on My Account and then enter your ID number and password.

    On the left tool bar, click “Add Credit (PayPal).” Then choose how much you would like to add to your account – either five or ten dollars.Click on the “Add Value” button and you will be redirected to PayPal to complete the transaction. Once in PayPal, click on “Don’t have a PayPal account” and then fill in the required information. Once complete, your Pay Per Print account will be credited by PayPal.

    2. Purchase a voucher

    You can purchase $2 voucher cards from Campus Stores during regular store hours (click here for store hours.)

    Outside of store hours you can purchase $2 cards in the Library (cash only).

    To redeem your voucher:

    • Log in at an Okanagan College computer. When the pop-up Pay Per Print window opens, click on My Account. If you are logging in on a personal computer, you can visit www.okanagan.bc.ca/payperprint and select My Account from the menu. When the Pay Per Print window opens, select My Account.
    • Log in using your Okanagan College ID and password.
    • Click “Redeem Card” on the left menu. Enter the voucher number exactly as it appears using case-sensitive letters and dashes in the card number box and click “Use Card.”
    • Throw the card in a recycling bin.

    Why is Okanagan College implementing Pay Per Print?

    One of Okanagan College’s key areas of interest is sustainability. Pay Per Print will reduce paper usage and waste substantially. It will also reduce the amount of money spent on toner, maintenance and IT support. Any profits made after covering the cost of paper, toner, maintenance,and equipment will be put towards student-based initiatives within the College.
