How much of my donation goes towards students?
100% of your gift goes to the student award. We also issue you a charitable receipt for a tax credit.
When are awards given out?
Most awards are given out in the Fall and Spring. Students apply for some awards within certain deadlines – while others like emergency funds may be given out any time. We let you know who is the best candidate for your award and invite you to meet the student to make the award presentation.
What if I want to make a legacy gift?
Making a bequest through your will or designating the Okanagan College Foundation as your beneficiary in your life insurance policy are both wonderful ways to leave a legacy. We recommend that you establish the terms of your award during your lifetime to ensure we understand how your gift is to be used in the future.
