Director, Advancement & Alumni
Executive Director, Okanagan College Foundation
Kathy has overall responsibility for Advancement at Okanagan College, providing leadership in fundraising and alumni relations, and leads strategic work with internal and external constituencies to promote the mission, vision, values, and goals of Okanagan College.
She primarily focuses on engaging major capital gifts (over $10,000) and special major campaigns and projects.
Kathy sits on the Okanagan College Leadership Team, serves as the Executive Director of the Okanagan College Foundation, and liaises with the Okanagan College Alumni Association. Kathy has been working with Okanagan College since September 2003.
Dawn DouglasExecutive Assistant / Board Secretary
Dawn serves as the Assistant to the Director, Advancement & Alumni as well as Board Secretary for the Okanagan College Foundation. She coordinates the day-to-day operations of the office as well as the Director's daily schedule. She plans Okanagan College Foundation Board meetings and sub-committee meetings and participates in all of these meetings.
Dawn manages the Annual Charity Golf Tournament in Kelowna as well as the 50/50 Staff Lottery program. She plans other special events throughout the year, such as award presentations, donor recognition events and workshops. Dawn is the webmaster for the Foundation's website and Facebook page, helps maintain the database of alumni and donors, and participates in various committees within the institution including OCAD (Okanagan College Assistant's Development Committee).
Dawn has worked with Okanagan College since June 1996, and with the Advancement & Alumni team since January 2004. Dawn is a 2005 graduate of Okanagan University College.

Anne Kirkpatrick, CFREDevelopment Officer – Major Gifts/Planned Giving
Anne joined the Okanagan College Foundation in January 2009 after a twenty year development career in Alberta. Through the establishment of strong relationships with alumni, friends and partners, she is responsible for building the individual major gift and the planned giving programs.
Anne has an extensive development background including several years working in a post-secondary environment, 10 years with United Way organizations and consulting with a wide variety of non-profit groups throughout Canada.
Throughout her career, Anne has been an avid supporter of the non-profit sector and is actively engaged with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP). She obtained her fundraising certification (CFRE) in 1999 and has delivered numerous workshops and presentations throughout western Canada.
Anne is delighted to have relocated from Alberta to the Okanagan Valley where she is a community volunteer and a keen golfer.
Alumni & Community Relations Coordinator

Blain provides overall direction and support for alumni programs and activities at Okanagan College. He devises and directs the plans of alumni relations ensuring annual goals, budgets, and objectives are met.
Blain directs community relations activities and events related to alumni identification and recruitment. He oversees publications, websites and other communication vehicles in addition to the business relationships and affinity and benefit programs of the Alumni Association. He coordinates strategies aimed at engaging alumni and community involvement. Blain is the key contact and support for the Okanagan College Alumni Association.
Blain joined Okanagan College in October 2017. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (major in Sport/Recreation) in 2008 from Mount Royal University in Calgary and is currently working on his Master of Business Administration through Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops.
Alumni & Community Relations Coordinator

Richard is responsible for the receiving and processing of all donations and revenues generated from award appeals, special events and other fundraising activities for the Okanagan College Foundation and for Alumni Relations. He prepares all bank deposits, posts donations, processes reports, reconciles accounts with Finance, prepares payment vouchers, journal entry transfers, and prepares acknowledgment letters and receipts to donors. Richard maintains award files and updates the database with new information.
Richard works closely with the Finance department preparing financial reports and compiling information from the database to meet audit requirements.He manages inquiries from other Okanagan College campuses and works closely with the Financial Awards Department in the co-coordination of the annual awards receptions. Richard merges data to produce mass mailing of reports,solicitations, and acknowledgment letters. He liaises with the Payroll Department regarding payroll deductions for donations to Okanagan College's Annual fund and processes all Gift in Kind donations.
Richard is an OUC alumnus, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2003, before going on to complete a Master's degree at Dalhousie University in 2006.
Tory supports the Okanagan College Foundation and the Advancement Department through Campaign communications planning, public and media relations, and the creation of website content and other key publications.
Her primary focus is coordinating communications and marketing for fundraising campaigns, including the Vernon Trades Training Complex and Penticton Daycare and supporting the Okanagan College Foundation and Advancement and Alumni Relations.
Tory studied arts at Okanagan College before transferring to Simon Fraser University, where she graduated with a B.A. in Environmental Science and certificate in Cultural Resource Management.
She has an extensive background in marketing and communications in the public and private sector, and volunteers her expertise on committees for Lake Country ArtWalk and the Kelowna Art Gallery.
The incumbent provides key administrative support for the Advancement Department, across a wide variety of initiatives, including ensuring that donor, volunteer, award recipient and alumni records are carefully maintained.
Samantha serves as the Campaign Assistant for the Advancement and Alumni office at Okanagan College. Her primary focus is dedicated to Okanagan College Foundation’s capital campaigns. She is responsible for coordinating meetings for the Campaign Cabinet, events and tours for donors and the community, and supporting the Director and Development Officers of the Advancement team. She shares the responsibility to maintain correspondence with current and prospective donors, maintain the database of donors and alumni, and to streamline capital campaign processes. In 2015-16 Samantha spent 14 months acting as the Executive Assistant for the Executive Director of Advancement and Alumni, and Board Secretary for the Foundation.
Prior to joining the Advancement team in 2013, Samantha worked with local societies and non-profit organizations. Her primary responsibilities were to maintain and grow positive relations, and to creatively enhance the service experience.
Samantha earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (with Distinction), with a focus in Finance and Marketing, from Okanagan College in 2013.
