Money Matters

Set your son or daughter up for success - it is all about planning! Help them figure out how much money they will need to pay for tuition, books and living expenses way before they actually start school. Find their program's cost in our tuition fee information. Add up all educational and living costs and if you think they will need help, the Financial Aid & Awards Office provides information and help with:

Become a Student Applying for awards (scholarships and bursaries) for students starting at Okanagan College - we call them Entrance Awards.
Become a Student Searching our website for awards while you are attending school – we can give you tips on where to look and how to apply.
Become a Student Applying for government student loans and grants – can be a complicated process but we’re here to help.
Become a Student Appealing government student loan denial – if you are denied a student loan or don’t get enough, we can analyze your assessment to see if you can appeal or reassess.
Become a Student Applying for government grants for upgrading or part-time studies – if you need to upgrade your high school education before starting a College program, or if you only want to take one or two College level courses to start with, we can tell you if there is a grant to help pay for educational expenses.

Remember, your son or daughter should apply for students loans and awards months before starting school.
