Set yourself up for success - its all about planning! Figure out how much money you will need to pay for tuition, books and living expenses way before actually starting school. Find your program's cost in our tuition fee information. Add up all of your costs and if you think you’ll need help, the Financial Aid & Awards Office provides information and help with:
||Applying for awards (scholarships and bursaries) for students starting at Okanagan College - we call them Entrance Awards.
||Searching our website for awards while you are attending school – we can give you tips on where to look and how to apply.
||Applying for government student loans and grants – can be a complicated process but we’re here to help.
||Appealing government student loan denial – if you are denied a student loan or don’t get enough, we can analyze your assessment to see if you can appeal or reassess.
||Applying for government grants for upgrading or part-time studies – if you need to upgrade your high school education before starting a College program, or if you only want to take one or two College level courses to start with, we can tell you if there is a grant to help pay for educational expenses.
Remember, apply for students loans and awards months before starting school.
