International Baccalaureate Admission

Okanagan College may give credit for International Baccalaureate (IB) programs.

We require an official IB transcript to be sent directly to us. Talk to your high school or you may order an IB transcript through the International Baccalaureate Organization.

  5 A prerequisite waiver for BIOL 111 and 121 or BIOL 112 and 122 for entry into second-year courses
Chemistry 6 Credit for CHEM 111 and 121 or CHEM 112 and 122
Computer Science 5 A prerequisite waiver of COSC 111 and 121 for entry into subsequent courses, provided applicants successfully complete a supervised laboratory assignment prepared by the Computer Science Department
English 5 in the higher-level IB English examination and an "A" in English 12 A prerequisite waiver for first year English for entry into second year
History (Asia or European) 5 A prerequisite waiver of first-year courses for entry into applicable second year courses
Mathematics 5 Credit for MATH 112 and/or MATH 112 & 122 depending on the examination taken
Physics 6 Credit for PHYS 112 and 122
